Dumb + Stef Chura

Seems like Democrazy are about to serve us a beyond-cool line-up this October. First up, Vancouver-based indie punk quartet Dumb, self-described as ‘post-apocalyptic corporate survivalist with outrageous dexterity’ are sure ready to tear down the scene with their rough distorted guitar riffs and dark witty lyrics tackling the neverending perks and downsides of a nightlife ecosystem. Then, an absolute must, Stef Chura, the Detroit indie rocker with an assured voice flaring in defiance, deftly tacking between grunge pop and alt-rock. Her latest forceful album, Midnight, was recorded and produced by Will Toledo of Car Seat Headrest. Toledos’s presence on the album gets to its peak on the compelling track ‘Sweet Sweet Midnight’, where the musicians sing in a magnetic duet.
