Suspended Spaces

16 Jun - 2 Sep - BPS22, Charleroi

Suspended Spaces is a collective of artists and researchers who are interested in political, geographical and intellectual shifts. This exhibition explores spaces that have been stripped of their original purpose: Famagouste in Cyprus, a tourist spot now abandoned after the scission of the island, Tripoli in Libya and the abandoned site of Rachid Karamé International fair; or Fordlandia, the Amazonian site constructed by Henry Ford, now completely abandoned. During the exposition, we’ll get to see a reassessment of the current modernity and how those spaces are the mirror of modern violence.
