Snapped Ankles’ genre is hard to define. You could describe their debut album, Come Play the Trees, as synth-punk and trance-rock. Or maybe a mix of post-punk, tribal percussions and synth-pop. The London band has a very unique musical and visual identity. Handmade log synths, bass guitar, analogue synths and sticks on animal skin blend to create primal rhythms. As unusual as their music is their presentation in their videos, but also on stage. So be prepared for visually entertaining costumes and a show combining music and performing arts.
