Release yourselves and renew energies together

Another half of the year goes by and another edition of Pilar ASAP arrives. From March 3 to 31, the Your Current Mood edition takes place offering experiences that stimulate encounters and reflections on ourselves after such unstable times of both deprivation and freedom. The program, as always, is impeccable. Release yourselves and embrace the opportunity to renew our energies together.

Nina Van Denbempt

Hello there, I just wanted to ask how you're doing
03-31 March

Nina is a multimedia artist who works with extremely human and personal themes in her creations. Despite having graduated in illustration at LUCA School of Arts, the artist has discovered that her productions go far beyond and that illustration is just one of her ways of expressing her being and her way of dealing with the world. The artist is one of the important elements of the exhibition Hello there, I just wanted to ask how you're doing, which is part of this edition’s program. Not to be missed.

Margot Van den Berghe

Hello there, I just wanted to ask how you're doing
03-31 March

Margot is also a part of the Hello there, I just wanted to ask how you're doing exhibition. The textile artist and designer began her relationship with the arts through drawing. Only at a later stage, the artist opened her range of interest and discovered a closer relationship with textiles, now a major part of her creations. Many of the artist's inspirations are classical, like Henri Matisse, for example. However, her wanderings between art and design bring an innovative and modern approach to her work and contribute to its uniqueness.

Abrahamblue

Abrahamblue + Stace - 10 March

It is difficult to talk about all the musical references that have been part of Blue's life as an artist. The self-taught musician learned to play piano, guitar and bass, which certainly opened up his range of production possibilities even more. Furthermore, the Antwerp-based artist listens to a variety of music, from classic Arabic songs to hip hop, soul, and even Michael Jackson. All this receptiveness to different musical genres plays a role in his productions and the creation of his own style.

Dorian Dumont

Dorian is a Brussels-based French pianist passionate about jazz. He is also part of an electro-jazz group called ECHT! and a big fan of Aphex Twin. Although he is a jazz musician, Dorian makes out-of-the-box productions escaping from the traditional agenda. For his concert at this Pilar ASAP edition, the artist will play his new album APHEXions, reinventing Aphex Twin on Solo Piano. The good news: his concert will be free for members. Don’t miss out!

★★★★☆ four stars

23 March

The Herman collective, which is composed by 5 actors, is the mind behind "four stars". Kenneth Cardon, Lois Lumonga Brochez, Daantje Idelenburg, Sara Lâm and Milan Vandierendonck created a performance shaped as a mockumentary, where they deal with ego-related issues and the way our society is constantly subjected to them. The struggle is real and ego rules from social media to politics. The performance invites us to reflect on it and, perhaps, even to discover ways to better deal with this matter.
