#5 Clara-Lane Lens - Self-portrait after a quarantine fight

Clara-Lane is probably mostly known for the Genderless Series, which consists of portraits where she consciously eliminates the notion of gender in the subjects. She’s rather focusing on personality, attitude, posture, a certain look in the eyes; all elements unrelated to someone’s sex or gender. For our series her subject was herself, resulting in a sober and stunning self-portrait.

Members will receive a unique A3 print of her work. If you're not a member yet and want to receive this exclusive piece, you can become a member before 24 April.

‘The androgynous aspect of people really appeals to me. I feel like everyone possesses this facet to a certain extent, whether it is mentally or physically. It’s exactly this particular trait I find so fascinating. Sometimes I apply the filter I use in the Genderless Series to my daily interactions with the outside world, and that keeps bringing me new ways of interpreting my surroundings.’
