#11 Paule Josephe : Lunch Conversations
In March until September 2020, we’ve launched The Art Series, providing our members with access to exclusive artworks specially made for our community. As a Subbacultcha member, you received 16 artworks made by local and international creatives.
Members in the period starting from 5 June 2020 until 11 June 2020, received a photo print of Paule Josephe.
In a world driven by excessive consumption and increasing detachment from reality, designer Hannah Vanspauwen returns to core values of morality, truth and honesty, seeking to infuse meaning and emotion into the oftentimes soulless industry of contemporary fashion. Working with post-consumer textile waste, she strives for a more sustainable future within the fashion world, where consumerist logic is replaced by a genuine connection with the garment.
If you’re a Subba member, you’ll probably be familiar with Tiny Geeroms, who has taken pictures for various features in the mag. When her work is not commissioned, Tiny captures landscapes of fauna and flora. With inspirations like Patti Smith and Sam Dillemans, her drive and confidence come through in her work.
Tiny and Hannah are on a continuous experimental journey together, their joint venture Paule Josephe, combines the work of both artists in a very suiting way.
