In conversation with the curators of the first ever edition of KONVOOI arts festival in Bruges
The 25-year-old visual artist Zoé Médard studied video, but never felt like sticking to one discipline. She’s working on an art movie, as well as installations and sculptures made out of lost and found objects such as textiles (check her flag!). Through her artistic practice she explores ‘superficial territory’. Everyday life is her playground; her instinct is what she follows. She transforms what she finds in her environment to discover its opportunities and show something real. Even though she has some exhibitions and projects coming up, Médard mostly likes to live in the moment and keep her artistic journey on course.
