In conversation with the curators of the first ever edition of KONVOOI arts festival in Bruges
Like snakes shedding their skin, a part of the Antwerp-based Konichiwa Crew emerged as Osei Bantu, an urban art collective that wants to inspire by showcasing dance, deejaying, music, art and spoken word, with influences of their own ethnicities and other cultures. Founded in 2015 by David Ramos Joao, Jay Joffrey Anane, Lito Silva and Jonas Garrido Verwerft, Osei Bantu’s mission is bringing people and art together at events all over Antwerp and beyond. They host the party concept ‘ewaja’, where they can express their love for the sounds they’re listening to.
