In conversation with the curators of the first ever edition of KONVOOI arts festival in Bruges
Maja Ajmia Yde Zellama, who goes by the moniker Tartelet-Harissa, is a filmmaker and one of the founding members of Bledarte, a Brussels feminist collective consisting of women of colour who aim to empower young people from immigrant backgrounds through art and culture. Her work as a cinematographer and for Bledarte are intertwined by theme: minority representation, masculinity, identity, communities and love. She’s stoked about her upcoming short film, on which she’s been working for a while, and the second edition of the Bledarte Festival taking place in September. Probably not the last we’ll hear from her or Bledarte.
