In conversation with the curators of the first ever edition of KONVOOI arts festival in Bruges
With spaces for creative youth fast disappearing, STELPLAATS is what a city like Leuven desperately needed. It’s an inventive reuse of the old bus depot, housing a skatepark, a club venue, a bike shop and BROEIPLAATS, among others. The latter is an artist residency programme that offers emerging talents free-of-charge studio space to experiment under professional supervision by the six artists who run the atelier. BROEIPLAATS aims to present art in a different, moving, clumsy, vibrant and inharmonious manner. This summer, five new artists will reside here and exhibit their work in September. But you can swing by for lectures, workshops and the BROEICAFE as well!
