Ready to blossom and overgrow the past
Our community is quite ambitious and reaching further and further. In the past we’ve had a great bunch of interesting people working, interning and volunteering for us, who later on spread their wings to discover what was beyond the Belgian borders. We remain curious about what they are doing and thought it might interest you as well! Weronika was interning back when the ‘office’ was equal to our local coffee shop. Hailing from Poland and now living in London and working at NTS Radio, Weronika fills us in on all her recent moves and grooves.

I’m good! How are you?
What are you up to these days?
A lot! I am working at NTS radio managing their online store; I’m working on my own project focused on helping musicians with the business side of their careers; I occasionally dj and I grow tomatoes on the rooftop of my London house.
What were you doing at Subbacultcha?
A bit of everything! I was writing music reviews, discovering plenty of music, having fun and filming Wastelands Festival 2014 with my old VHS camera.
After the festival we ended up hanging out with Mykki Blanco by a beach campfire until dawn
What’s your favorite Subba-memory?
The Wastelands Festival of course haha! I thought that was the best event I went to in Belgium. The Subba team has such a great talent for putting together special and memorable moments. After the festival we ended up hanging out with Mykki Blanco by a beach campfire until dawn.
What Subbacultcha band are you still listening to?
Fatima Al Qadiri, Palmistry, Mykki Blanco, James Ferraro, Lutto Lento, Evian Christ.
Which records are you playing most right now?
‘Toast’ Koffee, ‘Ballads 1’ Joji and Seinabo Sey, Temani, Kash, Tkay Maidza, Tomasa Del Real…
