Tell us, what do you do in life?
I study autonomous design (I would like to explain you what we do but after three years I’m still searching for the right words to describe it) at KASK and work at KIOSK, a venue for contemporary art in Ghent.
As a child I was crazy about Manu Chao’s ‘Me Gustas Tú’
What do you like best about your place?
That the front door opens onto a courtyard and that everyone knows and helps each other here.
What kind of music are you listening to at the moment?
I grew up among instruments and I can find something interesting in almost every genre. My top list at this moment ranges from The Knife’s ‘Pass This On’, ‘Dinamarca’ by Luna and Telex’s ‘The Voice’ to ‘On Ne Change Pas’ by Céline Dion.
What’s the first record you bought?
I don’t think I bought it myself (my dad probably did) but as a child I was crazy about Manu Chao’s ‘Me Gustas Tú’ from his album Próxima Estación: Esperanza.
I’d rather be a celebrity known by name but not by sight, so that I can quietly live my life with the people I love
What’s your favourite pastime?
Being with my friends and family, dancing to good music, working with my hands.
Any guilty pleasures?
Listening to Dutch rap with my roommate and eating cookies in bed.
If you could be famous, what kind of celebrity would you be?
I’d rather be a celebrity known by name but not by sight, so that I can quietly live my life with the people I love.
Have you experienced any regrets recently?
No regrets! Regret often comes too late so rather not regret it at all.
