On the songs that shape her life
The extremely prolific South Korean director Hong Sang-hoo is back to present his latest work, The Day After. In it, an unfaithful businessman grieves the ending of an affair; his suspicious wife is more than on to him but targets the wrong woman in her rage. Perhaps somewhat autobiographical, The Day After falls in line with Hong’s predilection for the small yet unfortunate comedies in everyday life. As an extra treat, this screening will take place in the presence of the director himself.
