The acts you can't miss according to Thomas Konings
Laurent Van Lancker is a multilingual Brussels-based artist. He studied both filmmaking and anthropology, a combination that echoes through his work as well: the illumination of social, religious and artistic aspects of different cultures; the tension between ethics and aesthetics. The solo exhibition Disorientation(s) departs from the multiscreen installation Limbo, that evokes the feeling of disorientation and the eternal stream of migrants in an abandoned refugee camp. Van Lancker’s other recent works will be displayed as well, creating an electrifying and fascinating image of his oeuvre that deserves to become widely known.
