The best of UK grime

AB is dropping 4 artists hailing from the beautiful city of London and right on the stage for you on 13 May. Make yourself ready for some extreme dancing.

Nadia Rose

Originally known as Stormy’s little niece, she’s making a name for herself now. This rising star raps punchline after punchline with a self-confidence that makes many male rappers beckon to the exit.

AJ Tracey

AJ Tracey is a rapper, grime MC and record producer who combines his heartfelt beats with razor-sharp humor and London street language. What makes it even more interesting is his clear social critical view. This guy isn’t afraid to tell the truth, whether you like it or not. He was called one to watch in 2016 by The Independent. Two years later we certainly know why.

Novelist

Novelist always brings meaningful, poetic and politically tinted rhymes. With a slightly different view on grime, he is trying approach the scene in a more creative way.

Flohio

Quick and dirty bars are Flohio’s trademark. Her staccato rap style is embraced by a bunch of progressive producers such as Gaika, L-Vis 1999 and God Colony. Flohio – real name Funmi Ohio – was born in Nigeria, but moved to South London borough Bermondsey (SE16) just before entering boarding school and found herself quickly submersed in the grime scene.
