Tell us, what you do in life?
I’m working at a bar in Ixelles.
What projects are you working on?
I’m running a studio with my mates Antoine and David. On the side, we’re trying to create a non-profit to promote culture in Belgium. I also have a musical project called Saudade, which will go ‘public’ in the next few months.
What inspires you?
I’d have to say feelings – like, strong feelings! Music has always been a kind of relief to me; it helps me to get things up and running when I feel a bit down.
What you do like best about your place?
Its recording room, which can be musically intense at times!
What kind of music are you listening to at the moment?
At the moment I’m really into jazz and soul and also grime music. I really like artists like FKJ, Tom Misch, Jazzy Sport and Yussef Kamaal.
What’s the first record you bought?
Baduism by Erykha Badu. She’s the best.
What’s your favourite pastime?
Making beats, spendin’ time with friends and in studios.
Any guilty pleasures?
None, trying not to overdo good things!
Last time you broke the law?
I break the law every day!!! Joking. From time to time I’ll not pay for my bus ticket so I can feel a bit thuggy. It isn’t frequent though.
What makes you dance?
Trap music like Damso, UK garage like DJ EZ and grime like AJ Tracy.
Which future Subbacultcha show are you looking forward to?
Princess Nokia. I heard a few songs lately and I loved it, so I’m looking forward to seeing her live.
Every month we visit a Subbacultcha member’s place. If you want us to visit you, please send an email to email@example.com. Become a membere here.
